Birch Aquarium Comes to Marguerita!
The Birch Aquarium at the Scripps Institute of Oceanography, UCSD, comes (virtually) to Marguerita!
Your PTA is proud to announce two oceanography programs coming to Marguerita over the next 3 months:
(1) Individual sessions for each of our 34 classes
An instructor from the Birch Aquarium at the Scripps Institute will spend 45 minutes with each classroom, talking with them about topics catered to their grade level. Teachers will share details with their students in the coming weeks.
(2) The PTA is also sponsoring 8 additional after-school workshops
Space is limited for each workshop in order to assure the quality of the session. Details below. Sign-ups will be first-come-first-served until the workshop reaches capacity.
If these fill up, we will keep a waitlist. If the waitlist reaches enough to fill another class, we will work with the Institute's availability to get another class. Please keep in mind that once you sign up, you cannot sign your child up for any additional oceanography workshops we have in the future (should we purchase more) until every student has had the opportunity to attend at least 1 workshop.
Once we have verified student’s enrollment you will receive an email confirmation that your child is enrolled or waitlisted. You will get the Zoom meeting information the day of your child’s workshop.

Way to go Marguerita! Keep up the good work!
Reposted from AUSD:
AUSD is proud to be named an Honor Roll District (and to have 13 of our schools named as Honor Roll Schools) by Educational Results Partnership, a data science organization that recognizes schools with high performance in Math and Science.
Sponsored by the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence, the ERP Honor Roll is the only school recognition program in the state that uses student achievement outcome data, and is a valuable resource for all schools to identify successful peers and learn about best practices that improve student success.
